Accessibility in Replicator

While at work, I was tasked with fixing some general Accessibility issues with a website at the client’s request. As I was going through thier site, running tests, I was curious, how well I had addressed Accessibility in Replicator. As it so turns out, at least on one site/Project I luanched in Replicator recently, I was watching the Accessibility tests running, and was fearing some heinous results, to which I was incredibly suprised, it was 100% Accessible! It blew me away, I ha…

Pages Module: Added subTitle for customized Display

The Replicator Team has updated the Pages to add a new Column, page_subtitle to the model. This column adds the availability to customize the Page’s viewed title, offering some flexibility instead of the default Page title offered initially and used in the display of the site’s navigation menus.

New Feature: pageSnippet()

In Mid January 2017, Replicator-X got an update to some of it’s shortcut functions. This new feature is called pageSnippet(); How the Function works: #pageSnippet('about-us', '#rc.config.siteID#')# The function requires only two arguments: slug & siteID . What it does: the PageSnippet() function embeds a snippet (contrained to 350 characters) from a Replicator Page via the Page Slug and Site ID into a Replicator View or Template file.

Replicator 5 - New Changes are coming

Replicator 5, codename Replicator-X is currently in Development. Visually, from a UI perspective, there's not going to be much of a difference, though a few updates will be noticable within the Control Panel . The Code Core has been updated and many fixes have been put in place that hadn't been previously been patched in the 4.0 release of the core. Replicator-X also includes ColdFusion 11 compatibility, and various database and configuration updates. What's been U…

Templates Update

The Replicator Templates system has undergone some updates. We've now placed module-specific items (like navigation items, dashboard interfaces, etc) into thier respective module folder/includes. This helps minimize code overhead, and keeps module specific items isolated to the specific module, instead of the "master" module (i.e., User's Dashboard embeds the stores module orders dashboard, now the user's module includes the stores module orders dashboard from the…

Replicator 4.0.0 - BootStrap 4

Replicator 3.1.0 (the Version number may very well change to 4 to match the boostrap verison) has now been plugged and developed with Bootstrap 4. Yes, there is a Default "Replicator" Theme in Bootstrap 4 for the front-End and the Control Panel (Formerly known as the Administration Panel) is also rendered in BoostStrap 4. Since a lot of the system has gone into a 'Stable" point  from a Development POV, I'm thinking we'll start consolidating some of the most F…

Blog Module : Comments only for Site Members

There's been (an internally) controversial Feature in the Replicator's Updated Blog Module. We developed it to permit comments only from Memebers of Your Site. The initial thought of this was to prevent spammers and trolls from posting insignifigant comments on your blog (Ofcourse this can also be handled via Moderation). We considered re-developing the Comment Moderation, and it is currently in a state of limbo, however, we thought this approach was somewhat "Automatic&qu…

HTMLHead() and HTMLFoot() Functions

In order to assist in customizing the Replicator system, we've added two new Template Variables, rc.HTMLHead and rc.HTMLFoot. The functions are included in your module's cfc before and after events, and outputs the specific modules assets, such as CSS or JavaScript files. Using the rc.HTMLHead variable inputs CSS into the HTML head of your Template. Using the rc.HTMLFoot variable outputs JavaScript into the Footer/End of your Template. You can also ins…
